Western Colorado Food and Agricultural Council — Serving Western Colorado from Farm to Table
Buy Fresh, Buy Local
In the spirit of nurturing successful markets for local small acreage farms the WCFAC works with farmers and consumers (markets, restaurants, community institutions, etc.) to identify profitable venues and provide marketing support. We are a partner in the national Buy Fresh, Buy Local campaign.
The Food & Ag Council is an independent organization dedicated to coordinating community projects that:
- Eliminate food waste
- Provide food for the needy
- Promote nutrition education
- Encourage self sufficiency
We identify resources, overcome barriers, build community connections and find solutions for farmers and needy people. Our intent is to encourage self-sufficient, sustainable living.
Our Vision: Enhance the Community Food System to make it more responsive to People, the Environment and the Economy
Our Values: We care about the future of our community and our environment. We are committed to connectign people and groups in mutually supportive ways to enable access to local food sources. We approach this with open minds and open hearts and will listen to understand diverse perspectives to create bridges, not barriers.
